City Attorney

The City Attorney represents the city in legal matters and reports directly to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

Stephen Worsham Appointed City Attorney

The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen are pleased to announce they have appointed Stephen Worsham as City Attorney.

Mr. Worsham has extensive experience in municipal law, and is well qualified to represent the City of Tullahoma.

Worsham is a dedicated community leader, and has lived in Tullahoma for more than fifty years. "I look forward to renewing an excellent working relationship with the Mayor of Board and Aldermen and working again with the City Staff, many of whom I have worked with before," said Worsham.

He graduated from Franklin County High School, attended Georgia Tech and earned a BS in Business Administration from UT Knoxville. He earned his law degree at UT Knoxville College of Law before entering the U.S. Army.

After serving as an officer in the U.S. Army, he entered into law practice in Tullahoma with Richard Robertson. His current partners include Terry Gregory who is also Moore County General Sessions Judge, and Mike Giffin, in the firm of Robertson, Worsham, Gregory and Giffin, where Worsham is Senior Partner. He will continue to be active in his law practice while also representing the City as City Attorney.

His practice has evolved from a general practice including almost every type of legal matter to a concentration in the areas of Estate Planning including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Living Trusts, etc.; Real Property law; Transactional law (contracts, etc.); Estate Administration and Probate; and municipal law.

He is admitted to practice in all trial courts in Tennessee but his practice is generally limited to of the counties of Coffee, Moore, Bedford, Franklin, Warren, Lincoln, Grundy, and in addition, to the probate courts of Davidson County and Hamilton County

He also has practiced before the Tennessee Supreme Court and before the Federal Court in the Eastern District of Tennessee. He has appeared in the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court several times and has several reported cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court. He previously served as the City Attorney for the City of Tullahoma for over thirty years.

He also served as President of the Tennessee Municipal Attorneys Association,

He has a long list of distinguished public service and civic activities. For 20 years he served on the Coffee County Election Commission as Secretary, and has served on many Civic and Professional Boards and Commissions including, the Tullahoma Rotary Club, the American Legion, and serves on the Tullahoma Airport Authority, The Tullahoma Tree Board, The Tullahoma Community Pride Foundation and the Motlow College Foundation Board of Trustees. He is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where he has served as Chairman of the Parish Council.

Both of his children attended Tullahoma Schools and are graduates of MTSU and he has three grandchildren currently in the Tullahoma School System.
